An update from the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA), an overview of newly launched VIREB programs and services and a sneak peak at the future of organized real estate on Vancouver Island were all examined during the Managing Brokers Meeting held today (November 22) at the VIREB offices in Nanaimo. More than 25 REALTORS® and Managing Brokers from across Vancouver Island were in attendance as BCREA’s Marla Gerein provided a preview of the provincial organizations new Education Plan. This extensive program will offer member REALTORS® wider and more tailored educational products in the coming months. Gerein’s detailed report touched on a number of professional development topics, all aimed at enhancing the learning opportunities available to VIREB members. Updates on various VIREB programs were also provided, while insights into the Board’s plans for 2013 were shared with those in attendance. Managing Broker meetings are typically held twice a year to serve as information updates and as catalysts for further discussion.
