The Christmas Spirit was alive and well December 5 during the annual Christmas Luncheon organized by Oceanside REALTORS®. Held at the Tigh Na Mara Resort in Parksville, about 70 REALTORS® were in attendance to meet and mingle with their peers, to discuss the challenges of the year that’s slowly winding down and to dig deep for the area’s less fortunate. Organized in part as a fund raiser for the local Society of Organized Services (SOS) charitable organization, the lunch time gathering saw a large number of gifts and presents donated to representatives of the group. Gifts provided were aimed not at youngsters, but for local teenagers, a group that can be overlooked during the holiday hub-bub. With this demographic in mind the gifts ranged from games and toys to gift certificates and even make up and perfume for the young adults. The Oceanside area includes REALTORS® working in the Parksville / Qualicum Beach area of Vancouver Island.
