REALTORS® in the Cowichan Valley did their part to make the season bright during their annual Christmas Luncheon. Held Friday, December 7 at the Cowichan Golf Club, a total of 66 REALTORS® were on hand to celebrate the year and to dig deep for a worthy cause. “We raised over $360 for our local food bank, collected many toys for the children in our community and also raised $192.44 for Warmland House,” explained Zone Director Jason Finlayson. Warmland House is a local facility created to provide emergency shelter for those individuals who are without shelter, or who are having difficulty finding stable housing. The facility, which contains 24 transitional housing units and 30 emergency shelter beds, is now into its second year of operation. “It was a great luncheon,” Finlayson said. “We had a chance to get together and meet in an informal setting, all while helping the community – so it was a win-win all around.”
