REALTORS® CARE Award

The REALTORS® CARE Awards are among the highest honour the Vancouver Island Real Estate can bestow on its members. They are presented to individuals whose dedication to excellence has had a profound influence on the quality of life in the communities they serve and has had an influence on the professional image on Vancouver Island REALTORS®. The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board represents 6 geographical zones. REALTORS® CARE Award winners will be identified from these zones by an independent panel of judges. These awards recognize the REALTORS® personal leadership and service.

CRITERIA

All nominations will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges.
  • Candidates must be members in good standing of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board.
  • Candidates must have made significant contribution in time and effort with a broad impact to the benefit of the community.
  • Candidates' financial contributions to any organization/charity are considered by the judging panel but are not alone sufficient to qualify for the award.
  • At least a portion of the candidates' community involvement must have occurred in the two years prior to nomination.
  • Testimonials/documentation would be beneficial to the nomination.
  • Candidates are only eligible to win the award once.
  • Nominations from the previous year are not automatically carried forward but may be resubmitted by the nominator.
  • The nominee's signature must be included, showing his/her willingness to stand.
  • It is not mandatory that this award be presented every year, but only when the judging panel deems the name of someone truly deserving of this honor is brought forward.
The nomination form can be completed online or by using this form, detailing the nominee's accomplishments and contributions to organized real estate (outlined on the Nominee Information Form). Feel free to email any additional information to help support your nomination regarding how the nominee excelled in serving his or her organization.

Any nominee for this award needs to be an active real estate licensee.

Where possible insert applicable information related to each of the following:

Service Clubs / Charities – Membership in and service to civic and service clubs, charitable activities, community involvement and service to special issues, all of which serve as enhancements to the REALTOR® image.

Mentorship / Role Model - Reputable business conduct and service to clients. How does the nominee act as mentor or role model?
