A total of 18 Vancouver Island REALTORS® earned their Accredited Buyer’s Representative® (ABR®) designation during an intense two-day course held at the VIREB Training Room. Held September 18 and 19, the course was taught by Pili Meyer and was created specifically for those REALTORS® interested in building a buyer’s representative business.The program has been designed to better prepare real estate professionals to represent buyer – clients during real estate transactions and to provide the same level of quality service to buyers customarily enjoyed by sellers. The overall goals of the course include offering ideas for building a buyer representative business and developing customized tools for conducting buyer consulting sessions. Areas examined during the course included Agency Relationships, Buyer Service Elements, Buyer Counseling Sessions and a segment on Offers and Negotiation. One of the key features of the two day course was information on building a successful buyer representative business that includes marketing tools, developing a network of ABR® REALTORS® and the creation of an effective presentation package. The newly ABR® designated REALTORS® now have the opportunity to turn their classroom experience into real world applications.
