BC NDP leader Adrian Dix will be hosting his annual Leader’s Levee in Vancouver this week, and VIREB will be there. As part of a BCREA initiative, representatives from virtually every real estate board in the province will have members in attendance, as part of an ongoing non-partisan support of the different political parties in the province. VIREB President Guy Bezeau, Director Blair Herbert and Manager Member Services Darrell Paysen will be in attendance Thursday, October 25 at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Vancouver. The Leader’s Levee is a yearly leader’s dinner and political presentation put on the provincial NDP party. It is an opportunity for Dix to meet leaders from within the provincial real estate profession in a more informal setting. Organized real estate supports the electoral process in all of its forms, but does not endorse any one political party. The next provincial election is slated to occur in May 2013, so the Leader’s Levee can be seen as a warm up for future campaigning efforts on behalf of Dix and his party.
