It’s time to lace up your skates and take to the ice – for a good cause. The second annual Vancouver Island Real Estate Board REALTOR® Charity Hockey Game comes to the Nanaimo Ice Center Arena #1 (750 Third Street) on Friday, March 15. The all in fun event, which is a fund raiser for the Nanaimo Community Hospice Society, has been organized by RE/MAX of Nanaimo REALTORS® Jordan Belveal and Justus Edmundson. In last year’s inaugural outing some $1,100 was raised through ticket sales and a 50/50 draw. This year the organizers are hoping to do even better. The two teams are composed primarily of REALTORS® and other individuals related to the real estate profession. The puck drops at 6:15 PM with the game slated to run until about 8:00 PM. A post-game party will take place at SimonHolt at 8:30 PM. Persons wanting to learn more, or who are interested in playing are encouraged to contact Jordan or Justus at 250-751-1223. It will be a great evening of fun, fitness and friendly competition.
