Vancouver Island University (VIU) students were busily exploring the world of work yesterday (April 4) at a Job Fair staged at the Nanaimo campus. VIREB was one of nearly 50 businesses and organizations that helped fill the VIU gymnasium. Sponsored by the university’s Faculty of Business, participating exhibitors ranged from banks and government agencies to organizations such as VIREB. Board Director Jennifer Merilees and VIREB’s Manager of Member Services Darrell Paysen were on hand during the event to promote the Board and the profession of real estate sales in general. Running from 2 pm to 5 pm the Job Fair saw several hundred students check out the various booths and exhibits. VIREB regularly attends functions such as this Job Fair to promote real estate sales as an important career choice for new entrants to the workplace.
